DRAINAGE AND RIVER LENGTH

 

There are 44 rivers flowing within Kerala State with a minimum length of 15 Km. Out of the 44 rivers, 41 originate from the Western Ghats and flow towards the west and join the Lakshadweep Sea. while 3 of them originate from the Western Ghats within Kerala State and join the Bay of Bengal. The details regarding lengths and basin areas of these rivers are given below:
